MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010122 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'wooden workpiece cutting device.'

Inventor(s) include Sunil Kumar Gaur.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wooden workpiece cutting device, comprising a body 1 positioned over a ground surface configured with motorized wheels 2 activated upon pressing a button 3 installed over body 1 to maneuver body 1, a lifting arrangement 4 installed in between body 1 and wheels 2 for adjusting height of body 1, an artificial intelligence based camera 5 mounted over body 1 for detecting height of workpiece present in vicinity, a pair of C-shaped plates 6 attached over body 1 and paired with each other via an electromagnetically powered spring 7 to expand/contract in accordance with width of workpiece, chamber 8 attached over body 1 configured with cutting blade 9 attached in inverted position, a motorized disc 10 pivoted with blade 9 for providing to and fro motion to blade 9 and a touch enabled screen 11 to allow user to select a design of cutting workpiece."
