MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517043547 A) filed by Plansee Se, Reutte, Austria, on May 5, for 'x-ray rotating anode with two different grain structures in the focal track coating.'
Inventor(s) include Schatte, Jurgen; Zobl, Gebhard; Siller, Maximilian; and Schwarz, Thomas.
The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to an X-ray rotating anode for generating X-rays, comprising a carrier body and at least one annular focal track coating extending along a focal track on the carrier body, wherein the carrier body is made of Mo or a Mo-based alloy and the at least one annular focal track coating is made of W or a W-based alloy, characterised in that the focal track coating has a first layer and a second layer lying directly on same in a perpendicular direction to the focal track surface starting from the carrier body, wherein the first layer has a grain structure that differs from the second layer."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 16, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/082009.
