The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT 1,2,3-TRIAZOLE HYBRID COMPOUNDS INCORPORATING POLYCYCLIC AROMATIC GROUPS AND A METHOD FOR SYNTHESIS THEREOF The present invention relates to a class of 1,4-disubstituted 1H-1,2,3-triazole hybrid compounds of Formula (I) in which a polycyclic aryl group (Ar = biphenyl-4-yl, pyren-2-yl, or fluoren-2-yl) is attached at the N-1 position and a cycloalkyl group (R = cyclopropyl, cyclopentyl, or cyclohexyl) is attached at the C-4 position of the triazole ring. Nine such compounds are synthesised by a regioselective two-step procedure: diazotization of the corresponding aromatic amine followed by copper(I)-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) click chemistry. The compounds are characterised by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and HRMS. Selected compounds exhibit antibacterial activity (MIC 62.5 µg/mL) against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, and antifungal activity (MFC 250 µg/mL) superior to the reference standard griseofulvin against Candida albicans. Pharmaceutical compositions and methods for the use of said compounds as antimicrobial agents are also provided.
