Abstract: An electrical connector (200) includes a housing (220) having a housing body (230) being a layered structure with walls (232) forming a contact channel (222). The housing includes a connector latch (252) extending from a first wall (234) of the walls having a fulcrum (290) extending from the first wall. The connector latch includes a latch actuator (280) extending from the fulcrum configured to be actuated to move the connector latch. The connector latch includes a latch arm (260) extending from the actuator and a latch hook (262) extending from the latch arm configured to be coupled to a latching element (250) of a mating electrical connector (300). The connector latch includes slots (270) between the latch arm and the fulcrum allowing movement of the latch arm relative to the fulcrum. The electrical connector includes a contact (210) received in the contact channel configured to be mated with a mating contact of the mating electrical connector.
