Abstract: The present invention relates to electrochemical energy storage, and particularly to a binder-free laser-integrated MWCNT/MXene/laser-induced graphene hybrid electrode for supercapacitors and a fabrication method thereof. The electrode comprises a polyimide substrate, a laser-induced graphene region formed in situ on the polyimide substrate by first laser irradiation, a hybrid layer comprising multi-walled carbon nanotubes and Ti3C2 MXene nanosheets deposited thereon, a dried coated structure, and a laser-assisted integrated interface formed by second laser irradiation to obtain a final MWCNT/MXene/laser-induced graphene composite electrode. The multi-walled carbon nanotubes bridge adjacent Ti3C2 MXene nanosheets and electrically contact the laser-induced graphene region, while the Ti3C2 MXene nanosheets are distributed over and within the porous laser-induced graphene region, thereby establishing a hierarchical 1D/2D/3D conductive network without polymeric binders and enabling improved supercapacitor electrode integration and performance.
