Abstract: ABSTRACT “A BIO-NANOCOMPOSITE COMPOSITION AND A PROCESS FOR PREPARATION THEREOF” The present invention relates to a bio-nanocomposite composition and a process for preparation thereof. The composition comprises polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB), chitosan, and zinc oxide nanoparticles integrated within a single matrix to provide enhanced mechanical, antimicrobial, and functional properties. The process involves dissolution of PHB, incorporation of chitosan and zinc oxide nanoparticles, and precipitation using an alkaline medium to obtain a uniform composite. The resulting material exhibits nanoscale particle size, improved compatibility between components, and significant antimicrobial activity. Additionally, the invention offers applications in antimicrobial formulations and agricultural seeds, which have better germination and growth rates. This technology is easy to implement, scalable, and environmentally sustainable, thus enabling its use in large-scale operations.
