Abstract: The present invention relates to a biometric authentication system for secure identity verification, leveraging the unique shape and texture of the human tongue. The system comprises a camera module (101) for capturing high-resolution tongue images, a preprocessing module (102) for image enhancement, a shape analysis module (103) for extracting tongue geometry, a texture analysis module (104) for extracting micro-patterns, a matching score module (105) for generating similarity scores, a 4- digit PIN input interface (106), and a decision module (107) for final authentication. The system integrates a two-factor authentication process combining tongue biometrics and PIN verification. Captured images undergo preprocessing, followed by feature extraction using computer vision algorithms and Local Binary Patterns (LBP). Features are classified using a Support Vector Machine (SVM), producing a matching score (Ss) during registration and a testing score (St) during authentication. Access is granted only if both scores exceed a threshold and the PIN is correct.
