The system (100) comprises a microfluidic electrochemical sensor array (101) having antibody- functionalized electrodes for selective cytokine detection, and an edge microcontroller unit (102) including an analog-to-digital converter and secure memory for executing application-specific firmware (103). The firmware (103) incorporates a digital filtering module (103a) utilizing hardware-accelerated signal processing to remove noise and enhance signal fidelity. An embedded inference logic (104), implemented on the microcontroller (102), processes electrochemical impedance signals to generate quantified cytokine concentration values on-device. The method (200) includes signal acquisition, digitization, filtering, inference, and secure wireless transmission or local actuation. The integrated architecture enables localized, low-latency, secure, and high-fidelity biomarker quantification without reliance on external computational infrastructure.
