Abstract: The present invention proposes a Blockchain-Based One Citizen–One Verified e-KYC System for secure, privacy-preserving, and reusable identity verification across multiple sectors. It enables citizens to complete KYC verification once through an authorized authority and obtain a unique verified digital KYC identity. Citizens can securely reuse verified credentials across banks, insurance companies, telecom providers, educational institutions, government departments, and other authorized organizations without repeatedly submitting identity documents. A permissioned blockchain maintains tamper-resistant verification records, credential status, consent transactions, and audit information, while sensitive personal data is stored securely in encrypted off-chain storage. Smart contracts manage citizen consent, access authorization, credential validity, revocation, and purpose-specific information sharing. The system provides selective and controlled access to verified information based on organizational requirements. The proposed approach reduces repetitive verification, identity fraud, data duplication, processing time, administrative costs, and unauthorized access while providing secure, transparent, interoperable, and efficient cross-sector identity verification.
