Abstract: A Blockchain-Based Secure Land Registry System Using SHA-256 Cryptographic Hashing and Ethereum Blockchain is disclosed. The system provides secure registration, verification, and ownership tracking of digital land documents. A Streamlit-based interface receives land ownership information and corresponding documents. A Python backend validates the submitted information and generates a 256-bit SHA-256 cryptographic hash representing the digital fingerprint of each land document. Instead of storing the complete document on a blockchain, the generated hash and selected metadata including survey number, owner information, wallet address and registration timestamp are recorded through an Ethereum smart contract. During verification, the submitted document is hashed again and compared with the previously registered blockchain hash. A matching hash indicates document consistency, whereas a hash mismatch indicates possible modification or tampering and generates a fraud alert. The system further provides transparent ownership history and blockchain transaction traceability through the Streamlit interface.
