MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641118773 A) filed by Srm Institute Of Science And Technology, Ramapuram Campus; and Easwari Engineering College on October 05, 2026, for A Campact Double V-Shaped Antenna For Wi-Fi Application.

Inventors include Dr. Reji V; and Dr. C. Aravindan.

The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a compact double V-shaped microstrip antenna designed for Wi-Fi communication applications operating in the 2.4 GHz Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM) band. The proposed antenna comprises two symmetrically arranged V-shaped radiating elements interconnected through a microstrip feed network and integrated with a matching stub structure to achieve enhanced impedance matching and radiation performance. The antenna is fabricated on a compact substrate with overall dimensions of approximately 4.4 cm × 2.8 cm, making it suitable for space-constrained wireless devices and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. A lumped-port feeding mechanism is employed to excite the radiating structure. The antenna exhibits a resonant frequency at 2.4 GHz with a reflection coefficient (S11) of approximately -17 dB, indicating efficient power transfer and reduced return loss. The unique double V-shaped configuration provides improved current distribution, compactness, and stable operation within the Wi-Fi frequency band. The proposed antenna can be integrated into wireless routers, smart sensors, embedded communication systems, wearable devices.
