Abstract: The present disclosure relates to chain timing system for a vehicle. The system (200) includes a crankshaft sprocket (201) driven by engine’s crankshaft. Further, an intake camshaft sprocket (202) is rotated by the crankshaft sprocket to control the intake valve timing, and an exhaust camshaft sprocket (203) is also rotated by the crankshaft sprocket, to control the exhaust valve timing. A timing chain (204) operably connects the crankshaft sprocket, the intake camshaft sprocket, and the exhaust camshaft sprocket. A fixed guide (205) and a tensioner guide (100) is mounted on the engine’s cylinder block (206). The tensioner guide includes a base member (10) defined with a plurality of pins (20) disposed in a spaced apart configuration. Further, a plurality of rollers (30) is rotatably mounted on each of the plurality of pins to guide the timing chain by a rolling contact. A cover (40) is connected to the base member.
