Abstract: The present invention relates to a charging port assembly (100) for a vehicle. The assembly (100) comprises a mounting plate (110) adapted for attachment to the vehicle (10), the plate having a body with an opening (112) for accessing the vehicle charging port (132) and one or more integrally formed retainer members (116). The assembly (100) further comprises a protective cover (120) that is provided for covering the opening (112) or a charging port (132), designed to be rotatably and lockably secured to the mounting plate (110) through the one or more retainer members (116). A sealing member (130) is disposed between the mounting plate (110) and the protective cover (120) to hermetically seal at least the opening (112).
