MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611072485 A) filed by Abha Biotechnology Private Limited on June 11, 2026, for A Clear, Shelf-Stable Ready-To-Drink Whey Protein Beverage Composition And A Process For The Preparation Thereof.

Abstract: A clear, shelf-stable, ready-to-drink whey protein beverage composition is provided, comprising per 250 mL from 2 to 10% w/v clear-grade whey protein isolate, 25 to 100 mg encapsulated curcumin, 25 to 75 mg fulvic acid, 500 to 1500 mg L-citrulline, 5 to 8% w/v fructo-oligosaccharides, 0.5 to 1.5% w/v glycerine, 100 to 200 mg L- lysine, electrolyte and flavouring agents, a citric acid/sodium citrate buffer maintaining a pH of 3.8 to 4.2, and purified water. The composition is formulated to maintain a turbidity below 15 NTU and to remain free of sedimentation for at least three months at 4 to 25 degrees Celsius. The combination of curcumin, fulvic acid and L-citrulline is selected to support systemic availability of amino acids from the whey protein isolate to a degree greater than the isolate alone. A process for the preparation of the composition is also provided.
