Abstract: ABSTRACT A CLOSED-LOOP SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MULTI-PARAMETER PRESSURE INJURY MONITORINGAND POST-INTERVENTION RISK REASSESSMENT The invention relates to pressure injury prevention and patient support monitoring systems, and particularly to a closed-loop system and method comprising a patient interface layer with a compliant substrate layer, a permeable protective layer, and a spatially distributed sensing array having pressure sensing units and microclimate sensing modules arranged by an anatomical zone mapping arrangement. A processing unit with signal conditioning circuitry, memory, threshold database or threshold allocation logic, multi-parameter risk assessment engine, and closed-loop reassessment function evaluates pressure, temperature, humidity, exposure duration, trend, and anatomical location to determine zone- specific risk. Upon risk detection, an actuation unit delivers localized therapy, after which the same zone is reassessed. An alert mechanism and communication module are activated only when risk persists, thereby reducing unnecessary alarms and enabling targeted intervention.
