The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a CNG gas leakage detection and alarm system for vehicles is disclosed for detecting CNG and LPG gas leakage and automatically controlling vehicle movement during leakage conditions. The system comprises an Arduino UNO microcontroller (1), a gas sensor module (2), a motor driver module (3), a DC gear motor with wheel (4), a 16×2 LCD display (5), a buzzer (6), and an external battery (7). The gas sensor module (2) continuously monitors gas concentration levels and sends analog signals to the Arduino UNO microcontroller (1) for processing. When gas concentration exceeds a predefined safety threshold, the Arduino UNO microcontroller (1) activates the buzzer (6) and displays warning messages on the 16×2 LCD display (5). Simultaneously, the motor driver module (3) gradually reduces the speed of the DC gear motor with wheel (4) using PWM control and brings the vehicle to a complete stop. The system provides real-time monitoring, automatic safety response, and low-cost implementation for automotive safety applications.
