Abstract: ABSTRACT A COMPOSITE MATERIAL FOR ABSORBING ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION AND METHOD OF PREPARATION THEREOF The present invention relates to an eco-friendly composite material for absorbing harmful electromagnetic radiation emitted from mobile phones and other wireless communication devices. The composite comprises ferrite powder dispersed within a processed cow dung matrix, along with dried peepal leaf powder, dried Shyam Tulsi powder, cow urine extract, pure cow ghee, sago powder, and fresh neem gum. The ferrite provides magnetic and dielectric loss properties for effective attenuation of radiofrequency and microwave radiation, while the cow dung contributes carbonaceous and porous structures that enhance dielectric loss and internal reflection of electromagnetic waves. The synergistic interaction between ferrite and cow dung improves radiation absorption efficiency over frequencies used in mobile communication, with testing demonstrating absorption efficiency reaching 97-99% at specific frequencies. The material can be fabricated in various forms including sheets, panels, coatings, or moulded components and is suitable for applications such as mobile phone cases, wall coatings, shielding panels, and protective enclosures.
