Abstract: ABSTRACT A HERBAL COSMETIC WELLNESS COMPOSITION COMPRISING NANO-FORMULATED GLYCYRRHIZA GLABRA FOR PERIORBITAL APPLICATION AND METHOD THEREOF A topical herbal cosmetic wellness composition for periorbital application is disclosed, comprising Glycyrrhiza glabra root nano-powder at 3% to 6% w/w characterised by particle-size D90 of 80 nm to 100 nm, polydispersity index of 0.1 to 0.3, and zeta potential of -30 mV to -100 mV; a Glycyrrhiza glabra root oil-extract in a cosmetic-grade lipid carrier at 0.1% to 1% w/w; and at least one cosmetically acceptable excipient selected from waxes, plant- derived emollient oils, emulsifiers, co-emulsifiers, humectants, antioxidants, chelating agents, pH-adjusting agents, viscosity modifiers, sensorial fragrances, and cosmetic preservatives. The composition is configured for periorbital topical application on the skin, the infra-orbital skin below the eyes, and the skin surrounding the nose. The invention further provides processes for preparing the Glycyrrhiza glabra root nano-powder by high-energy ball milling and for preparing the composition in two embodiments, namely an oil-in-water nano cream and an anhydrous wax-and-oil based balm.
