Abstract: ABSTRACT A COMPOSITION FOR POLYMERISED COATING OF GLASS FIBER GEOGRID /MESH USED FOR REINFORCEMENT IN FLEXIBLE AND RIGID PAVEMENT The present invention provides a composition for polymerised coating of glass fiber geogrid /mesh used for reinforcement in flexible and rigid pavement, the coating comprising: 1-40 wt% of Methacrylic Acid Methyl Ester; 1-40 wt% of Ethyl Ester; 1-40 wt% of Butyl Ester; 0.01-5 wt% of 2-Propenoic Acid; 0.01-5 wt% of acrylamide and formaldehyde crosslinker mixture; 0.01-10 wt% of anionic surfactant; 0.01-5 wt% of PPS catalyst; 0.01-5 wt% of sulphuric acid; 0-5 wt% of acrylic acid acrylamide; 0-5 wt% of Poly (Methyl 2-Methylpropenoate); 0-2 wt% of methylisothiazolinone and antimicrobial mixture; 0-1 wt% of silicon oil base silane; 0-2 wt% of naphtholine sulfonate base dispersing agent; 0-2 wt% of Prop-2-Enoic Acid; 0-3 wt% of polyurethane mixed with high polymer acrylic acid base as a thickener; 0-2 wt% of oil base defoamer; 0-2 wt% of chloromethylisothiazolinone mixed with Methylisothiazolinone as a preservative; 0-2 wt% of high polymer acrylic acid base rheology modifier; 0-10 wt% mixture of crosslinking agent and high density of wax as an abrasion resisting agent; 0-15 wt% of bitumen; 0-3 wt% of Thickener; 0-15 wt% of carbon black pigment and 30-70 wt% of demineralised ionic water. The composition significantly improves the adhesion of geogrids to asphalt binders, enhancing the overall durability and performance of pavement systems.
