Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition for treating keratin material, comprising, a) ferulic acid and/or derivatives thereof; b) Bacopa monnieri extract; 5 and c) at least one hydrotrope. The present invention further relates to a method of enhancing solubility of ferulic acid and/or derivatives thereof in a composition, the method comprising mixing ferulic acid with Bacopa monnieri extract, and at least one hydrotrope in the presence of water to obtain the composition with enhanced solubility of ferulic acid and/or derivatives thereof. The present invention also 10 relates to a method of treating a keratin material, the method comprising applying the composition as disclosed herein onto the keratin material, preferably skin.
