Abstract: The invention relates to computer-implemented ecological survey and habitat assessment systems, particularly for ritual-ecological avian survey of burial grounds and cremation grounds. A React.js single-page application frontend, a Node.js and Express.js REST API backend, MongoDB Atlas document database, Cloudinary media storage, and a Species Reference Database cooperatively support a six-step workflow comprising Site Registration, Bird Observation with Ritual-Ecological Context, Ritual Event Log, Habitat Variables Assessment, Intergenerational Worker Ecological Knowledge Capture, and a Survey Matrix Engine or Graveyard Habitat Quality Index Matrix Engine. Structured records are processed by an Index Computation Engine to derive Ritual Food Index, Grave Utilisation Quotient, and Graveyard Habitat Quality Index, while Ritual-Disturbance Temporal Matrix Engine aligns bird observations with ritual events for ritual versus non-ritual comparison. An ACZ Classification Module produces a tiered Accidental Conservation Zone classification, and an Analytics Dashboard, Geospatial Visualisation Module, and Export Module provide analysis, mapping, and CSV, JSON, or GeoJSON outputs.
