Abstract: The present invention discloses a computer-implemented queue resource control system and method for transient evaluation of a multi-server batch-arrival Poisson queue operating under an N-policy mechanism. The system receives queue configuration parameters including batch-arrival rate, batch-size distribution, number of servers, service parameters, threshold value N, initial condition, and evaluation time horizon. A threshold-aware state-space model is constructed to represent inactive states, active service states, queue length states, busy-server states, and batch-induced threshold-crossing events. A transition matrix generation module generates arrival, service completion, activation, and deactivation transitions, while a transient probability computation engine computes time-dependent state probabilities. A dynamic truncation module controls computational state-space size, and a performance indicator module generates transient measures including expected queue length, server utilisation, activation probability, threshold-crossing probability, and congestion probability. The invention enables improved server activation control, resource utilisation, and transient congestion assessment in technical systems receiving grouped service requests.
