Abstract: A computer-implemented system for adversarial source-authenticity verification in digital journalism, comprising three synergistically integrated modules. The Adversarial Authenticity Verifier (AAV) deploys a generative adversarial network wherein a generator, conditioned on a cryptographic provenance vector encoding journalist identity and geospatial metadata, synthesises plausible misinformation variants to continuously harden a discriminator through a novel provenance-consistency penalty. The Source Identity Preservation Engine (SIPE) applies GAN-based biometric disentanglement to separate source testimony into orthogonal identity, semantic, and affect embeddings, generates a statistically distinct synthetic persona, and stores original testimony in a cryptographic legal escrow vault verifiable by judicial authorities. The Adversarial Bias Audit System (ABAS) employs a bias generator traversing a parameterised latent space to produce counterfactual article variants, back-propagates discriminator activation maps to sentence-level causal attribution heatmaps, and applies minimum-edit debiasing transformations recorded in an immutable regulatory audit ledger.
