MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202644052313 A) filed by Te Connectivity Solutions Gmbh on April 24, 2026, for A Connector System With Assembly Detection Via Radio Frequency Identification.

Inventors include Camara, Cathrine; Rouillard, Xavier; Delestre, Quentin; Lord, Steven; and Jodon De Villeroche, Francois.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a connector system (1, 2) with assembly detection via radio frequency identification (RFID). The system comprises at least a first connector (1) and a second connector (2), capable of being assembled with the first connector (1). The first connector (1) comprises an RFID circuit (33) including an open antenna pattern (35) having at least two conductive strips (37, 39) electrically separated from each other. The second connector (2) comprises a conductive member (28) that has at least two distinct electrically-conductive arms (48, 50). Each arm (48, 50) is, respectively, configured to establish electrical contact with one of the conductive strips (37, 39) of the antenna pattern (35) when the connectors (1, 2) are in an assembled position, such that, in said assembled position, the conductive member (28) electrically closes the antenna pattern (35).
