Abstract: A console assembly (100) for a vehicle is disclosed herein. The console assembly (100) may include an inner structure (102) and an outer structure (104). The inner structure (102) may be supported on a floor of the vehicle and having a plurality of locators (106). Further, the outer structure (104) may be coupled with the inner structure (102) and may be adapted to enclose the inner structure (102). The outer structure (104) may include a plurality of hooks (108, 108’) adapted to be detachably engaged with the plurality of locators (106) to restrict a lateral movement of each hook (108, 108’) with respect to the respective locator (106). Herein, a longitudinal gap (G) may be defined between each hook (108, 108’) and the respective locator (106), such that the outer structure (104) may be adapted to move relative to the inner structure (102) in a vertical direction.
