A contextual recommendation mechanism ranks pictograms or sentences based on parameters including time, location, and prior user interaction history. The system generates multimodal output comprising pictogram-based visual output and synthesized speech output and recommendation strategies based on user interactions. The invention is deployable as a software application, embedded system, or integrated AAC device.
