Abstract: ABSTRACT Disclosed herein is a context aware incremental backup system (100) using intelligent data importance classification in cloud computing environments, the system (100) comprises a data monitoring module (102) configured to continuously monitor a plurality of data objects. The system also includes a context analyzer module (104) configured to extract contextual parameters. The system also includes an importance classification module (106) configured to analyze the extracted contextual parameters and generate an importance score. The system also includes a backup decision module (108) configured to automatically determine a backup strategy for each data object. The system also includes a storage manager module (110) configured to selectively store backup data in storage locations. The system also includes a recovery module (112) configured to initiate a priority-based recovery process in response.
