MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541012326 A) filed by Bosch Limited; and Robert Bosch Gmbh on February 13, 2025, for A Controller And Method For Operating An Engine Of Two-Wheeler Vehicle Operable On Two Fuels.

Abstract: A CONTROLLER AND METHOD FOR OPERATING AN ENGINE OF A TWO-WHEELER VEHICLE ABSTRACT The engine 102 operable on two fuels and capable to be started by anyone of an electric-start or a kick-start. The electric-start comprises start of the engine 102, on press of a start button 112 provided on a handlebar. The engine 102 is started by a starter motor 104 powered by a battery 108 of the vehicle 100. The kick-start comprises start of the engine 102 using a kick lever, characterized in that, the controller 110 configured to read an engine speed from an engine speed sensor 106. While the engine speed is read, the controller 110 configured to monitor an input signal 120 from a group comprising a voltage signal 118 of the battery 108 and a start signal 122 from the start button 112. The controller 110 then detects a start attempt of the engine 102 by kick-start based on the engine speed and the input signal 120.
