Abstract: ABSTRACT A COVER ARRANGEMENT FOR A PUMP The present disclosure envisages a cover arrangement (200) for a pump (100) comprising a pump casing (102) and an impeller (104) mounted on a shaft (108) driven by a driving means (106). The pump (100) is in fluid communication with a fluid supply duct (300). The cover arrangement (200) includes a suction cover (202) coupled to an operative section of the pump casing (102) and a spool piece (204) coupled between the suction cover (202) and the fluid supply duct (300). The suction cover (202) and the spool piece (204) are detachably joined such that, upon disengagement and withdrawal of the spool piece (204), a recess is generated that permits axial disengagement of the suction cover (202) from the pump casing (102). This enables direct access to the impeller (104) during maintenance without disturbing the fluid supply duct (300) or decoupling the driving means (106) from the rotatable shaft (108).
