Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a crankshaft sensor (100). The crankshaft sensor (100)includes a carrier assembly (102) and a casing (116). The carrier assembly(102)includes a frame (104). The carrier assembly (102) further includes a magnet(110)and a pole piece (112). The pole piece (112) is magnetically coupled to themagnet (110). The carrier assembly (102) further includes an integrated circuit (IC) 10 (113)secured within the frame (104) and positioned adjacent to the pole piece (112).Further, the carrier assembly (102) includes a plurality of terminal leads (114) electrically connected to the IC (113) and secured within the frame (104). Furthermore, the carrier assembly (102) includes a plurality of ribs (106) extending from a portion of the periphery of the frame (104). Here, the casing (116) is 15 interlocked with the plurality of ribs (106). The crankshaft sensor (100) protects against the ingress of water or moisture. Figure 3 is a representative figure.
