Inventors include Sarthak Sharma; Sushant Singh; Dr. Amit Sharma; Prof. Dr. Sandeep Kumar; Dr. Koyel Datta Gupta; Dr. Vikrant Shokeen; and Dr. Manoj Kumar Chaurasiya.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: A decentralized agricultural swarm robotics system (100) comprises at least three compact autonomous ground robot units (110), a charging dock (150), and field boundary beacons (160). Each robot unit (110) includes a drive assembly (112, 113), onboard controller (115), vision sensor (116), proximity sensors (117), wheel encoders (118), mesh transceiver (121), energy manager (126), battery pack (127), and modular tool interface (130). The onboard controller (115) generates a local coverage bitmap, exchanges zone-occupancy packets with peer robot units (110), derives a non-overlapping work zone, and actuates a verified micro-spray tool (132), weeding tool (138), or aeration tool (141) only within the assigned work zone. A peer-consensus module (125) releases and reallocates incomplete work when a robot fault or reserve-energy condition occurs. A flow sensor (137), soil resistance sensor (143), and chemical shutoff assembly (144) provide closed-loop physical control. The system operates without a central server or cloud connectivity during farming. (Accompanied Figure No. 1 to 4)
