Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of agricultural decision support and discloses a decentralized multi-agent swarm intelligence system (100) and corresponding method for achieving consensus-driven recommendations. The system (100) comprises a plurality of autonomous software agents (120) instantiated on low-bandwidth devices to perform asynchronous local decision making and stigmergic signalling. Each agent (120) includes a local knowledge module for storing farm-specific parameters, a decision evaluation module for computing a local preference vector via a multi-criteria utility function and pheromone intensities from a shared digital environment (160), a swarm interaction module for depositing, sensing and evaporating virtual pheromone increments, and an adaptive trust and learning module for updating trust coefficients by reinforcement learning. A convergence controller monitors pheromone distribution stability and signals finalization of collective recommendations upon meeting a predefined variance threshold.
