Abstract: The present invention discloses a device and a method for on-site determination of water quality for irrigation. The device comprises a plurality of sensors that include a color sensor including housing that has a light source and a light sensor to determine the concentration of dissolved materials in a sample solution. Additionally, the device features a pH sensor with multiple electrodes to measure the pH value, and a salt sensor with two electrodes connected to an AC source to determine the electrical conductivity of the solution. A controller with a display unit for output and a user interface for input is configured to receive input from the plurality of sensors and determine quality of water for irrigation based on the received input from the plurality of sensors. This device and method enable efficient, on-site assessment of water quality for irrigation, aiding farmers in water management and crop selection. Fig. 1 is the representative figure.
