Abstract: The device (100) for measuring evaporation and transpiration rates comprises a first configuration (101) and second configuration (201). The first configuration includes a porous surface (102), electrode sensors (104a) in holes (104b) at different heights, a microcontroller (106), an output unit (108), and a small liquid reservoir (110). The microcontroller detects liquid level changes via the sensors, calculates evaporation/transpiration rates, and outputs results in real-time. It may measure time intervals between sensor activations to determine rates. The second configuration adds a large external reservoir (210) connected to the small liquid reservoir (205) via a tube (207) with a valve (209) to control flow. The device allows for automated, real-time monitoring of evaporation and transpiration rates with increased sensitivity and faster response to environmental changes compared to manual methods.
