The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a device (100) and a method (500) to determine a concentration of a target gas. The device (100) includes a gas chamber (102) configured to accommodate one or more gases. The gas chamber (102) includes an infrared source (104), photodetectors (106-1, 106-2) equipped with optical filters, and sensors (108). Further, the device (100) includes an electronic circuit interface (110) configured to acquire signals associated with the infrared radiation and the parameters associated with the gases. The device (100) includes a controller (112) configured to receive the signals from the electronic circuit interface (110), calculate a fractional absorbance of the target gas by comparing a pre-defined wavelength absorbed by the target gas with a reference wavelength, and determine the concentration of the target gas based on the calculated fractional absorbance and a calibration value.
