The device (100) includes one or more cages (1) enclosed in the chamber (2). The cages (1) are configured to feed/place partially spent/spent fumigant (10). The device (100) further includes a fluid dispensing unit (3). The fluid dispensing unit (3) is fluidically coupled to the chamber (2). The fluid dispensing unit (3) is configured to dispense air across the partially spent/spent fumigant (10). In addition, the device (100) include a scrubber (4). The scrubber (4) is fluidically connected to the chamber (2). The scrubber (4) is configured to include at least one of an absorbent or an adsorbent, to absorb or adsorb phosphine gas emitted by the partially spent/spent fumigant (10). Further, a method (200) for transporting partially spent/spent fumigant in the device (100) is also disclosed.
