MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611075957 A) filed by Manipal University Jaipur on June 19, 2026, for A Device For Smart Radar-Based Object Detection Using An Arduino Uno Microcontroller.
Inventors include Anushka Jamindar; Saanvi Chauhan; and Dr. Rohit Mittal.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a smart radar system for object detection and mapping. The present system comprises a microcontroller module, an ultrasonic sensing module, a rotary scanning module, a data processing module, a communication module, and a visualization module. The microcontroller module controls system operation and processes sensor data. The ultrasonic sensing module detects surrounding objects and measures object distances using ultrasonic waves. The rotary scanning module comprises a servo motor that rotates the ultrasonic sensing module through a scanning range of up to 180 degrees. The data processing module determines object positions the communication module transfers object detection data to an external computing device. The visualization module displays object locations, distances, and angular positions. The system detects, localizes, tracks, and maps stationary and moving objects in real time. The system provides a compact, low-cost, portable, and energy-efficient alternative for object detection, navigation, surveillance, and robotics applications.
