Abstract: ABSTRACT A DEVICE FOR SUPPORTING A GUIDEWIRE The present invention relates to a device designed to support and facilitate the smooth 5 movement of a guidewire through a flexible needle during medical procedures. The device comprises a split cylinder (103, 203) actuated by a spring-loaded button mechanism (102, 202). When the button is pressed, the split cylinder expands, allowing for controlled movement and removal of the device. To address the issue of needle flexing or bending during insertion of long slender needles, the device incorporates a middle portion (200) that provides additional 10 support. This middle portion (200), equipped with a split cylinder (203) and springs (201), offers a secure grip, enabling precise control of the needle while advancing it into the body. By pressing the button (202), the middle portion (200) can slide along the needle. An end portion (100) is also provided to facilitate the guidewire’s forward motion through the needle. This end portion (100) includes a split cylinder (103) and spring (101) that securely holds the guidewire, 15 enabling controlled advancement with the help of another button (101) on the end portion
