Abstract: Abstract A Digital Eye Wellness System for Promoting Natural Blinking Behaviour This invention discloses a digital eye wellness system designed to combat digital eye strain through a non-intrusive, persistent floating GUI widget that encourages natural blinking and eye movements via mirror neuron activation. The system features anatomically-stylized animated eyes rendered as a seamless cross-platform overlay that launches automatically, remains draggable and always visible, and survives main application suspension. The architecture comprises five layers: Presentation (101), Overlay Engine (102), Bridge (103), Persistence (104), and Analytics & Behaviour (105). Operating with independent GUI and overlay processes, the system delivers dynamic visual cues mimicking realistic human eye behaviour across multiple modalities. A single-tap interaction allows instant reconfiguration of animation, haptic, and duty cycle parameters through inter-process communication. An integrated machine learning module continuously analyses user patterns to optimize nudge styles, blink rates, and hardware controls, providing an adaptive, personalized solution for sustained ocular health.
