MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621073671 A) filed by Ankur Jain; and Anindita Tiwari on June 13, 2026, for A Direct High-Voltage Battery Energy Storage System And Operating Method.

Inventor includes Ankur Jain.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT A DIRECT HIGH-VOLTAGE BATTERY ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM AND OPERATING METHOD A direct high-voltage battery energy storage system (100) and a method (200) of operating the direct high-voltage battery energy storage system (100) are disclosed. The system (100) comprises a plurality of battery modules (102) connected in series to provide a grid-level direct-current output voltage, a preventive safety layer (104) configured to limit cell-to-cell voltage divergence, a thermal stabilization layer (106) configured to suppress temperature-induced electrical non-uniformity among battery cells (112), a predictive safety layer (108) configured to identify cell degradation before occurrence of a fault condition, and a containment and recovery layer (110) configured to isolate a faulted portion of the system (100) while maintaining operation of a non-faulted portion. The method (200) comprises maintaining (202) voltage divergence, maintaining (204) thermal uniformity, detecting (206) degradation, identifying (208) a pre-fault condition, isolating (210) a battery region, and continuing (212) operation of remaining battery modules (102), thereby reducing electrical fault propagation, thermal fault propagation and degradation-induced failure. FIG. 1 will be the reference figure.
