Inventors include Deshpande, Yogesh Vasantrao; Choudhari, Akshad Narendra; Lanke, Archit Ashutosh; Tapas, Shashwat Surendra; and Rale, Aman Avinash.
The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.
Abstract: The present invention provides a drill bit assembly (100). The drill bit assembly (100) has a drill bit (10) extending along a longitudinal axis. An outer ring (20) is fitted on the drill bit (10) and movable along a length of the drill bit (10) to define a selected drilling depth. An inner ring (30) is positioned within the outer ring (20). A locking member (40) is configured to hold the outer ring (20) at a selected position by engaging the inner ring (30). A resilient member (50) is coupled to the inner ring (30) and arranged to compress when the outer ring (20) contacts a workpiece surface. When the outer ring (20) contacts a surface of a workpiece during drilling, the resilient member (50) compresses and limits further forward movement of the drill bit (10) into the workpiece surface.
