Abstract: ABSTRACT A DRY INDUCTION SUBMERSIBLE PUMP FOR AN OPEN WELL The dry induction submersible pump (100) comprises a motor casing (16) and a water casing (18). A first bracket (26), secured to a first operative end of the motor casing (16), includes a first axial cavity to receive a first ball bearing (22). A second bracket (28), secured between a second operative end of the motor casing (16) and the water casing (18), includes a second axial cavity to receive a second ball bearing (24). The first bracket (26) and the second bracket (28) define a hollow space therebetween for receiving a dry induction motor (38). The motor (38) includes an axial rotary shaft (20) having a first portion (20a) received in the first ball bearing (22) to axially align the motor-side end of the shaft, and a second portion (20b) received in the second ball bearing (24) and extending into the water casing (18) to drive an impeller (30).
