The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a dual-authorization, tamper-evident electronic security and audit system for prevention of examination question paper leakage. The system comprises a steel cabinet body (100) with a hinged door secured by an electro-mechanical locking assembly (102) actuated by a microcontroller (104); two independent credential-reader input devices (106a, 106b), RFID and biometric fingerprint, or OTP-keypad based, are associated with two distinct designated officials; a frangible tamper-evident seal element (108) is affixed across the door-to-body interface and wired into a continuity-monitoring loop on the microcontroller, independent of the lock and credential subsystem; An imaging module (110) automatically records door access and tampering events with device identification and synchronized timestamps. Event data, including credentials, seal status, and images, is transmitted to an application server (116) and stored securely. A rule engine verifies authorized access windows and generates alerts. The system supports centralized, scalable monitoring of multiple cabinets across examination centres. The present system addresses the recurring problem of examination paper leaks in India, which often result in the cancellation of major national and competitive examinations, causing significant disruption, financial loss, and hardship to millions of students.
