Inventors include Mr. Melvin Joy; Ms. Bhanupriya; Mr. Niranjan R; Mr. Albin Babu; and Ms. Fathima Shilna M.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a dual-stream hybrid forensic engine for intelligent passport verification and AI-generated forgery detection. The invention comprises a deep-learning-based passport detection engine configured to identify and structurally verify passport images, and a forensic analysis engine configured to perform Spatial Rich Model (SRM)-based noise analysis, Fast Fourier Transform (FFT)-based spectral analysis, edge-consistency verification, and RGB-channel anomaly detection. The system further comprises an OCR module configured to extract and validate machine-readable zone (MRZ) information against ICAO standards. Outputs generated from multiple forensic modules are aggregated through a forensic confidence engine to classify images as authentic, forged, manipulated, AI-generated, or non-passport images. The invention provides enhanced fraud detection accuracy, automated identity verification, reduced authentication latency, scalable deployment capability, and improved security for digital onboarding, immigration, banking, and border-control ecosystems.
