The front guard (106) has a plurality of concentric vanes (106a) positioned ahead of the fan blade (104). The each of the plurality of concentric vane (106a) has an aero-foil cross- section profile (110) and an angle of attack (112) of each of the plurality of concentric vane (106a) varies. Further, the aero-foil cross-section profile (110) of each of the plurality of concentric vanes (106a) is inverted.
