Abstract: A FAN MOTOR SHROUD WITH INTEGRATED MUD SPLASH PREVENTION RING The disclosure comprises a shroud assembly (2) mounted on a radiator (1), housing a fan and motor assembly (4) at its centre, and a shroud extension ring (3) that fits securely onto the shroud assembly (2). The shroud extension ring (3) is constructed from a material composition of PP+GF30% and features two snap features and two bolt positions for secure mounting. This ring is engineered to prevent mud ingress into the motor through thermal cutout (5) while allowing necessary airflow, and it is detachable for easy installation, replacement, or maintenance without affecting the core shroud structure. The shroud extension ring (3) is adaptable for integration in a co-molding process if the shroud assembly (2) is plastic or welded in case of a metal shroud assembly (2).
