MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641117704 A) filed by Mrs. V. Bhavani; and Dr. Jada Jayendra on October 01, 2026, for A Federated Edge Intelligence Architecture For Privacy-Preserving Financial Forecasting And Fraud-Aware Digital Banking Applications.

Inventors include Mrs. V. Bhavani; and Dr. Jada Jayendra.

The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a federated edge intelligence architecture for privacy-preserving financial forecasting and fraud-aware digital banking applications. The architecture comprises distributed edge computing nodes configured to locally process financial transaction information and generate transaction, behavioral, temporal, financial, and contextual features without transmitting raw financial data to a centralized environment. A financial forecasting module generates predictive financial indicators, while a fraud detection module determines anomaly indications and fraud-risk values. A privacy-preserving learning module generates protected model updates using techniques such as encryption, differential privacy, secure aggregation, parameter perturbation, or gradient clipping. The protected updates are securely transmitted to a federated aggregation engine, which evaluates node trust, data quality, model performance, security status, temporal relevance, and update consistency to determine adaptive aggregation weights. The weighted updates are aggregated to generate an updated federated model, which is distributed to authorized edge nodes for subsequent local forecasting and fraud-risk assessment. A digital banking decision engine further utilizes the generated financial intelligence and fraud-risk information to determine transaction responses including normal processing, additional authentication, transaction verification, temporary restriction, or security alert generation. The invention thereby enables collaborative financial intelligence while retaining raw financial information within distributed banking environments.
