Abstract: The present invention relates to a federated learning based industrial malware detection and collaborative cyber threat mitigation system designed to enhance cybersecurity in industrial environments. The system comprises monitoring agents for collecting security- related data from industrial devices, local machine learning modules for training malware detection models, and a federated learning aggregation module for combining model updates from multiple nodes without sharing raw data. A threat detection module identifies malicious activities, while a cyber threat mitigation module coordinates automated response actions such as device isolation and network protection. By enabling privacy-preserving collaborative learning across industrial organizations, the invention improves malware detection accuracy and strengthens cyber resilience in critical industrial infrastructures.
