MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611104116 A) filed by Chandigarh University on August 29, 2026, for A Federated Self-Healing Ai System For Early Cyberattack Detection And Prevention.
Inventor includes Dr Manoj Wadhwa.
The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a federated self-healing artificial intelligence system for early detection and prevention of cyber-attacks. The system deploys multiple AI security agents across distributed network nodes to monitor traffic and system behavior locally. Each agent trains a machine learning model to detect abnormal activities and shares only encrypted model parameters with a federated server, thereby preserving data privacy. The federated server aggregates these updates to generate a global model, which is distributed back to the agents for improved detection accuracy. Upon identifying a potential cyber-attack, the system automatically isolates the affected node, updates firewall and access control rules, and restores normal operation through a self-healing mechanism. The invention is capable of detecting zero-day attacks and adapting to evolving threats without manual intervention, making it suitable for smart cities, IoT networks, banking systems, and enterprise environments.
