Abstract: The present invention provides a finite-time safety-constrained predictive control system (100) comprises a set of sensors (101), a finite-time control barrier module (102), an optimization module (103), a control module (104), and a wheel mobile model (106). The non-linear model predictive controller (NMPC) (106) is connected to the set of sensors (101) configured to extract state information and computes a finite horizon open-loop control at each instant state information by solving non-linear optimization problem. The control module (104) is connected to with said optimization module (103) wherein said control module (104) configured to generate high-fidelity obstacle and state information from the acquired data from said set of sensors (101) via computation of control inputs over a finite prediction horizon through a non-linear model predictive control with a discrete-time finite-time control barrier function (NMPC-FT-CBF) technique in order to simultaneously achieve accuracy in obstacle avoidance while maintaining pose stabilization.
